Glass - Elegant Glass - Heisey Glass

EAPG (Early American Pattern/Pressed Glass) is my passion. I study & collect EAPG. Sometimes an interesting Depression or foreign glass piece will catch my eye; some items in other materials such as silver, pewter, or pottery can appear here too...thus the "plus." The Victorian period is so fascinating, & in many ways mirrors our lives today.

I rotate pieces as I grow in knowledge or if I think you'd appreciate them more than me. And since this wonder of superheated sand (glass) continues to take over my “space,” I’ve always got some to offer: why not finish off your authentic decor with period glassware? Feel free to ask questions or inquire about wanted items which might not be listed.

Be sure to check back for new additions & an occasional “Rarest of the Rare” in EAPG. Some of these pieces have been documented, but are so uncommon that they’ve rarely or never been photographed for publication!

Everything is clean with meticulous descriptions of condition, & I package well. See ebay feedback for ger55.

Thanks,
Ger

102-B
Heisey Candlestick: OLD WILLIAMSBURG *original with pontil Clear crystal candlestick in the classic pattern Old Williamsburg made by Heisey Glass, c 1903-57, with just the faintest hint of purple (really faint). Candlestick is heavy, & has a slight yellow glow under UV. There is a polished central pontil under the base, consistent with original, early Heisey production! Height is 7 ½". Condition is excellent, except for one surface scratch on the foot (see photo). BV in Bredehoft (Early Heisey) for a pair is $130. Any off-color is a reflection; glass is bright & clear. #102-B

EAPG: early Heisey Sunburst 2 small dishes c 1903-1913 *Mint Wonderful early Heisey marked with the diamond H, these 2 clear flat dishes are mint condition, with no damage. Made in several variations, the Sunbursts in this pattern, Sunburst (nos. 343, 343 ½), are as clear as day, & as brilliant as the Heisey reputation. Measure 5 ½" across x 1 ¼" deep. These may be what are called 6" plates or shallow nappies (?). Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with Delivery Confirmation, 2 lbs. from 06068. #384

Heisey: Ipswich 11 oyster cocktail glasses *Nice There is nothing that sparkles quite like this classic Heisey pattern. Said to be modeled after the early Sandwich EAPG pattern, Comet, these bright oyster cocktail glasses measures about 3 3/8" tall x 2 7/8" across the top bowl. Marked with the diamond H under the base, these were made by Heisey in 1931-1946. Some of the Ipswich line, aka no. 1405, was made also in 1952-53, but I don’t know if this shape was included in that batch (Bredehoft book pg. 218). 9 are in MINT condition with no damage; 1 has a nick at the top; 1 has a chip at the top. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 7 lbs. from 06068. #420

Heisey: Exquisite early engraved candy jar Known officially as Revere no. 1183 blank, this candy jar base has what is believed to be a Gravic engraving, c 1914-1928, possibly done by TG Hawkes! Realistic grapes, leaves & vines adorn this lovely old piece. Measures 6 ¾" tall; marked with diamond H for Heisey. Other than a small nick on the design there is no damage (see last photo close-up). A shearline noted inside is consistent with the age of the pattern. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 3 lbs. from 06068. #324

EAPG: 2 Rare Heisey tumblers Daisy & Leaves c 1911 2 early Heisey glass tumblers in the pattern Daisy and Leaves, no. 427, c 1911-1913. Said to be "rare" (see Bredehoft), both tumblers are marked with the Diamond H. BV in 2001 was $125 each! Both have a manufacturer ground base & measure 3 ¾" tall. One tumbler is near-mint, with very minimal signs of wear; one has a few small flakes under the base. Glass is clear & bright with a sharp press; tumblers are not crooked, but look that way due to the way they were photographed. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation,4 lbs. from 06068. #442
