EAPG: 19th cent BIM Flip Glass: excellent MMA Blown *copy
Though not true flint, this brilliant clear high quality blown in mold (BIM) flip glass was made in limited edition for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MMA, by Imperial Glass 1982. Has rows of plain, diagonal swirl, diamond diapering, vertical rounded ribbing; similar to McKearin GII-18 (?); pontil & MMA under base. 6" ht. It’s almost impossible to find the originals after which these are modeled, probably because they were so fragile. The originals date back prior to pressed glass, 1825 or earlier! Comes with a copy of an old recipe for a yard of flannel, a drink with ale, eggs, etc. Originally, a hot poker was put into the liquid in the container in order to warm the contents…quick hot drinks the old way! NO damage. #101 Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 3 lbs. from 06068.

EAPG: Prism w swirl small compote wafer
Interesting small compote, with some lead content. There is a ping, but not as high pitched as pure flint. I believe that this may be a (flint/soda lime) transition piece. Made with a wafer, there are double prisms in the main part of the bowl, & a swirl pattern in the bowl base. The bowl is joined to the 8 columned stem with a hot wafer. Measures 7 3/8" wide x 4 ¼" high. Mild roughness along upper inner mold line; broken surface bubble under inner part of foot. Guesstimated to be c 1870-90. Any off-color is a reflection; glass is clear & bright. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 3 lbs. from 06068. #253

EAPG: 4 FLINT goblets: Huber super condition
These are amazing. As I slide them across my wooden table they sing that wonderful flinty ring that I just love. Naturally a gentle tap evokes the same bell-tone flint ring. Classic early Huber, straight Huber I believe, these flint goblets are early, c 1860, made by several manufacturers; McKee 1859, et al. There are 10 panels in the bowl; 6 sides to the stem. Each goblet is heavy, coming in at over 1 lb. Two are in near perfect condition, with just age wear under the foot. One has a shallow flake off the foot step. One has a chip off one of the points under the bowl. Both are quite subtle & certainly don’t disrupt function or beauty. Height is 6 ½". See my other listing for a pair of Crystal flint goblets & 2 other Huber. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with free Delivery Confirmation, 7 lbs. from 06068. #144

EAPG: 2 Flint goblets: Crystal pattern
Looking like a relative of Huber, Crystal is a flint pattern without the angular knopf under the bowl, & a slightly slimmer 6 sided stem. But the bowl is also 10 panel like Huber. Height is 6 ½". Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with free Delivery Confirmation, 4 lbs. from 06068. #145

Early blown syllabub or ?
With round cuts and a polished pontil, this is probably a very early-mid 19th century piece. It’s function, however is uncertain. In fact, I suspect that it was ground off at the top, having once been taller, perhaps an ale glass. In its present condition, it resembles a syllabub with a big foot! In any case, it is leaded, heavy, thick and flinty. Height is 4 ¾", foot 3 ¾", top 2 1/8". Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 2 lbs. from 06068. #434
