Painted milk glass: Swirl white glass candlestick pair
Originally made by McKee Glass as the pattern Ray, this particular set of 2 milkglass, milk glass, candlesticks is quite lovely with delicate hand-painted pink & green flowers, which follow along the swirls of the pattern. The 3 knobs under the base identify the set as a later, more contemporary Kemple product. Measure 8" tall. Other than some wear of the painted areas, & minor roughness along the lower edge mold line, there is no damage, no chips or cracks. A nicely done copy of a classic early pattern, obviously still popular today. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with Delivery Confirmation, 6 lbs. from 06068. #379

Pressed glass: Strawberry Diamond white ashtray, heavy
A substantially weighted white milkglass ashtray in Strawberry Diamond, aka English Hobnail pressed pattern. Held in a good light, some opalescence can be seen on the edges of the main design elements. I am not sure of era, but mid-20th century seems about right. Measures 5" across the bowl (not counting the 3 cigarette extensions) x 3" tall. No chips or cracks, with only the slightest hint of a faint stain line inside the bowl. So faint that I was not able to photograph it. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 3 lbs. from 06068. #429

EAPG era: Portieux: figural Hops fiery MG sugar w lid
Shown in the Portieux catalog of 1894 and 1933, this pattern is called Houblon 6654 sucrier, Hops sugar. A beautiful artistic rendition of hops plants is woven around the base & lid; a typically well-done vintage Portieux piece with a sweet hops figural finial! Held up to the light, the edges are fierce fiery opalescent white glass. Height is 5 ½". There is a ¾" flat flake on the top edge of the base, not easy to see with the lid on due to the nature of the pattern; a few small nicks under the feet; a rough mold line inside the lid. Other areas of mold overfilling on the base are without damage. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 3 lbs. from 06068. #333

EAPG: Beaded Bottom painted MG sugar w lid
Listed as "scarce" in several sources, this white milkglass salt shaker with period lid, is in pristine condition. Made by Dithridge in 1898-1900, the painted blue and green flowers & leaves are without obvious wear. There are impressed letters underneath, hard to make out, but I believe they might be 2 S’s (see photo). Height with lid is 3 ½". No damage. Lovely pattern in great shape. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 1 lbs. from 06068. #300

EAPG: Gillinder: MG puff box w lovely cold paint flower lid
Originally called Opal Novelties, this particular piece was listed as "No. 2 puff box decorated" in Crockery and Glass Journal, Aug. 9,1900, under Gillinder & Sons Inc. This is documented & can be viewed in Early Milk Glass 1891-1911 a monograph from the WVa Museum of American Glass! A fairly well-preserved bouquet of flowers decorates the lid of this small white satin glass puff box. Missing a few spots here & there, the bouquet has colors of green, blue, taupe, white, gold, & rust. It presents a cohesive design despite some flaws. Gold accents to the body are excellent. Measures 3 ½" wide x 2 1/8" tall. No chips or cracks. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with Delivery Confirmation, 1 lbs. from 06068. #334

Glass: Tiny Milkglass chicken on basket *Mint
Unmarked, but with nice fiery opalescence along the edges, this small chick on a basket is in super condition. Measures 2 ½" long x 2" wide x 2" tall. Made by several manufacturers in various sizes, colors, & versions, a HON (hen on basket) in this size is considered to be a Victorian Novelty; possibly was meant to be a covered salt dish. I can’t verify age or maker, but can vouch for this being one of the nicest mini chix I’ve seen. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 1 lbs. from 06068. #346

Made by Westmoreland Glass, c 1890, this white milkglass cream pitcher has the original top with remnants of gold cold paint. Other than a subtle chip off the top of the finial, condition is excellent. Although reproduced in 1942, the gold paint puts the age of this creamer in the 1890 period, i.e., original. Height is 4 7/8". Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with free Delivery Confirmation, 2 lbs. from 06068. #270
