Primitives: Early 16 candle tin mold with handle
Unusual 16 hole taper candle mold; square shaped top and base; tin metal with single handle. This well used 19th century utilitarian mold measures about 10" in height, with a width at the base of 5 ˝". There are bends, rust spots, and some wicks stuck in the holes (see photos). Though slightly tippy on the table, the construction is still sturdy; original weld lines and folded corners give insight into method of mold making. Fascinating, wonderful period décor item, in the unusual size of 16 candles, not 6 or 12! Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with free Delivery Confirmation, 4 lbs. from 06068. #283
