EAPG: Green child’s table set Cambridge’s Fernland c 1907
Fernland, OMN, no. 2635, aka Snowflake, is a pattern by Cambridge Glass Co., c 1907. This is a complete child’s table set, including butter with lid, sugar with lid, creamer, & spooner. Spooner height is 2 ¼" with the other pieces being proportional. Spooner is also listed in toothpick books, with a value of $45 for a clear one in Bredehoft’s book! This pattern, in this color, is not often seen. In addition, being a child’s toy, intended for real play, one may forgive some damage to all pieces, as follows. Butter has a large broken bubble on the inner rim of the base, with the lid intact; sugar lid is ok, but several scallop chips on base; spooner fairly good with a number of small chips & nicks to the un-fire-polished edges; creamer is the worst, having a large chip with crack at the handle, & a large chip with missing beads at the spout. *The tray, which is an amber D&B butter underplate, is NOT included. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with Delivery Confirmation, 4 lbs. from 06068. #397

Cambridge: green vaseline temple jar w lid *Mint
Wonderful Cambridge made Majestic etched temple, cookie, or pretzel jar, c 1930-34. This optic pattern jar has a vaseline green color which glows brightly under black light. I’m not sure what the official name of this color is, since there are a number of Cambridge greens. I was told by someone more familiar with Cambridge ware, that this was part of a console set which consisted of the jar & 2 dolphin candlesticks, console #510. I could not verify that information in my resources. My 1930-34 Cambridge catalog reprint shows the Majestic etch on pg.58, but only in crystal & without this shape. I found an optic temple jar in Colors in Cambridge, pg. 49. So, perhaps this is an unusual item. I leave it to Cambridge or vaseline collectors to decide, and welcome any additional information. Measures 6 ¾" tall x 5 ½" wide. No damage. *Mint condition, looking like it was never used! Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with free Delivery Confirmation, 4 lbs. from 06068. #325
