Lamps & related

EAPG (Early American Pattern/Pressed Glass) is my passion. I study & collect EAPG. Sometimes an interesting Depression or foreign glass piece will catch my eye; some items in other materials such as silver, pewter, or pottery can appear here too...thus the "plus." The Victorian period is so fascinating, & in many ways mirrors our lives today.

I rotate pieces as I grow in knowledge or if I think you'd appreciate them more than me. And since this wonder of superheated sand (glass) continues to take over my “space,” I’ve always got some to offer: why not finish off your authentic decor with period glassware? Feel free to ask questions or inquire about wanted items which might not be listed.

Be sure to check back for new additions & an occasional “Rarest of the Rare” in EAPG. Some of these pieces have been documented, but are so uncommon that they’ve rarely or never been photographed for publication!

Everything is clean with meticulous descriptions of condition, & I package well. See ebay feedback for ger55.

Thanks,
Ger

Lighting: 2 Solux bulbs new in package 2 never used bulbs by Solux, still in box. I bought them by mistake, not realizing that they required a Solux-type lamp. I failed to return them in a timely fashion. Label says: 360 flood, 4700 Kelvin (true daylight), 12V/50 watt, ordering code 18003. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with Delivery Confirmation, 1 lbs. from 06068. #376

EAPG: Blue kero lamp Aquarius c 1880 *As is* Wonderful baby blue kerosene lamp, in the pattern Aquarius by Adams, USG, c 1880-91. Photos do not do justice to the color, which is the typical blue of the period. This has the scallop base, & measures 9" tall to the top of the original collar. There is a large flat flake under the foot, which is most obvious when the lamp is turned over. The bowl & stem are epoxy attached. I was told by the previous owner that originally these were put together with plaster of paris. But the previous owner did not like the look of the white plaster, so he redid the attachment with epoxy. Close-up shows the area. The mold lines of the bowl & stem do not line up. This leads me to believe that at manufacture, the pieces were made separately, & attachment was meant to be by hot glass. With the bowl being much thinner & more delicate than the pedestal, plaster was resorted to when the hot attachment failed. Lamps are not my forte, so I leave the final judgement up to you. Shown in Thuro 1-315, & 2-120a. If buyer would like a new repro kero burner & a repro beaded edge chimney, I can include these for an additional $15. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 5 lbs. from 06068. #217
