Depression era: Czech perfume bottle with Sterling salt top
Originally made in Czechoslovakia in 1920-30’s era, this clear & frosted glass bottle was most likely an atomizer! I could not find this particular design of frosted roses, alternating with clear panels, in a reference, but the shape & style are seen in books which show Czech vanity items. Although unmarked, I have seen larger items of the exact same pattern with the Czech acid mark under the base! I got this piece as shown, with a sterling silver salt shaker lid, stamped UK, lid marks indicating 1838-1890. The lid slips onto the top, although there is threading. Obviously a marriage, the match is quite functional until the atomizer status can be restored. I leave that to the buyer. Height of bottle alone is 2 7/8"; height with lid is 3 ¾". There is a manufacturer ground base & top; 1 chip at the base & a few small nicks. The lid is slightly depressed on one side, but it has a very elegant sterling design in its own right. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 1 lbs. from 06068. #436
