Sparkling Orrefors Ltd edition crystal Liberty Tree plate c 1976
"The Liberty Tree" is the Franklin Mint’s first limited edition lead crystal plate, hand-crafted by Orrefors artisans in Sweden. Originally retailing for $230, plate measures 10 ¼" in diameter, with a soft frosted intaglio center design by artist Gilroy Roberts. Motto around design: "Beneath the boughs of liberty tree- where met the sons of liberty." Signed in the right lower corner with initials GR, and with a subtle mark "1976 Orrefors Sweden," seen on the lower marie (edge which rests on the table) when held at a certain angle…very easy to miss it! Minor surface scratches under the base, but otherwise in excellent condition. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 6 lbs. from 06068. #439

EAPG: Shield shaped Banner Butter, c 1880’s
Many Victorian butter dishes were particularly whimsical in design. This one, Banner Butter, c 1880’s is shown in several reference books. The lid has a basic Daisy & Button pattern arranged as the "stars" area, with double X’s in a stripe pattern suggestive of the American flag. A small finial, the lid, & the base are all in the shape of a shield. Measures 7 ½" long x 5 ½" wide x 3 ½" tall. The finial has no damage; base has a 1" long flake on the edge; the lid is in poor condition, with several chips & one chunk missing from the top corner. It can be displayed effectively however, as shown in the 1st photo. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 4 lbs. from 06068. #440

EAPG: The Peoples Money: Bryan campaign mug
William Jennings Bryan was a presidential candidate in 1896. His battle cry was "The People’s Money." This mug is an election commemorative from 1896. Bryan lost that election to McKinley, and did not win when he ran again, losing twice to Teddy Roosevelt. But this mug lives on! Made by McKee & Bros., height is 3 ½". There is no lid. Other than a minor flake to the inside rim & a few small spots of graying, which you really have to search for, the mug is in good condition. Referred to in many books, including Lindsey, Mordock’s Mugs, this is a great way for children to learn about history. I personally have had fun collecting historical glassware, & brushing up on past American events. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 2 lbs. from 06068. #345
