This attractive hard to describe turquoise blue color milkglass jar with lid is made in the shape of a pineapple, & set on 4 scrolled feet. There appears to be a high lead content, although not pure flint, with a hefty weight; held to the light, the edges are translucent. Measures 7 ¼" tall. There is no major damage, but there is an area on the base rim where a fin from overfilling is knocked off; jar sits tippy on the table. The lid is not a good fit because of the overfilling; there are 3 small flakes underneath the top tips (really have to search for them). In French references this is attributed to Portieux-Vallereysthall, 19th century, most likely meant for use as a sugar container, and not commonly seen in this color! Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 3 lbs. from 06068. #164
