Enjoy scrolling through EAPG (Early American Pattern/Pressed Glass), with various other items in smaller quantity: other vintage glass, pottery, silver, pewter, old coins, collector books, etc. Victorian antique phonographs collected in the 1950-60’s are being added slowly; new, unused, precious and semi-precious gem jewelry, some uniques, are added as time permits; older costume jewelry will be added as it is sorted. See below (About us) for the big picture! I am strictly a collector, not an expert or a dealer. I’m just lucky enough to be able to handle a lot of “stuff.” ;) |

This is one of the limited edition copies of early American glass made for the MMA, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. Done in a style so close to the BIM (blown in mold) originals that the MMA marks each piece with its initials to avoid confusion. In this case the initials are cleverly hidden in the design in the front of the pitcher (outlined in last photo). Pattern consists of a row of swirl, diamond diapering, sunbursts, and vertical colums; an applied clear handle with the typical pre-1870 lower squiggle, on a rich teal green body; rough pontil under base. Height 4 ˝"; no damage; looks unused! Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 4 lbs. from 06068. #171-A
