Enjoy scrolling through EAPG (Early American Pattern/Pressed Glass), with various other items in smaller quantity: other vintage glass, pottery, silver, pewter, old coins, collector books, etc. Victorian antique phonographs collected in the 1950-60’s are being added slowly; new, unused, precious and semi-precious gem jewelry, some uniques, are added as time permits; older costume jewelry will be added as it is sorted. See below (About us) for the big picture! I am strictly a collector, not an expert or a dealer. I’m just lucky enough to be able to handle a lot of “stuff.” ;) |

By the size and shape of this small covered dish, it most likely is a covered salt. Although it also resembles a child's sugar, I could find no reference to Portieux making toy table sets. Marked "Portieux" in relief under the base, piece stands 4 ¼" tall and is without damage! Excellent, & cute, with diamonds & spearheads motif, similar to early pressed American pieces; substantial weight for its size. I did not locate this in my collection of Portieux catalogs, so cannot give an accurate date of production. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 1 lbs. from 06068. #240 |
