| I don’t think you’ll see a pair of colognes like this anytime soon again. Made by McKee & Bros, c 1898, Stout states that the pattern, Stars and Stripes is "scarce." These are NOT the Stars and Bars pattern. They are not Prescut, although they are said to be hand-pressed! All pieces are said to be scarce since they were made for only a short period. This makes sense since machine pressing was already in full swing by this late period. Both colognes are *Mint condition with no damage; they look as though they were never used. The stoppers match, though one is a tad loser & one rides just a wee bit high in the opening. The stoppers are consistent with hand-pressing, showing a rough cut-off point at the tips! (see photos) Overall height with stoppers is 7 3/8"; without stopper 5 ¼". Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 5 lbs. from 06068. #332 |
