| Originally called Opal Novelties, this particular piece was listed as "No. 2 puff box decorated" in Crockery and Glass Journal, Aug. 9,1900, under Gillinder & Sons Inc. This is documented & can be viewed in Early Milk Glass 1891-1911 a monograph from the WVa Museum of American Glass! A fairly well-preserved bouquet of flowers decorates the lid of this small white satin glass puff box. Missing a few spots here & there, the bouquet has colors of green, blue, taupe, white, gold, & rust. It presents a cohesive design despite some flaws. Gold accents to the body are excellent. Measures 3 ˝" wide x 2 1/8" tall. No chips or cracks. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with Delivery Confirmation, 1 lbs. from 06068. #334 |
