Enjoy scrolling through EAPG (Early American Pattern/Pressed Glass), with various other items in smaller quantity: other vintage glass, pottery, silver, pewter, old coins, collector books, etc. Victorian antique phonographs collected in the 1950-60’s are being added slowly; new, unused, precious and semi-precious gem jewelry, some uniques, are added as time permits; older costume jewelry will be added as it is sorted. See below (About us) for the big picture! I am strictly a collector, not an expert or a dealer. I’m just lucky enough to be able to handle a lot of “stuff.” ;) |

Made by McKee, this set of the hard-to-find eggcup, along with an open master salt, are both in the pattern Scroll with Flowers; originally shown in a reprint of an 1882 catalog as "Modern Ware." Until the old catalog was found & reprinted in 2002, previously the pattern was attributed to Central or Canton Glass. We now know it is by McKee & Bros. The eggcup measures 2 5/8" across the top, 3 ½" across the handles x 3 1/8" tall; has a small nick under the foot (hard to photograph), & just the faintest hint of grayness inside the base. The open salt measures 2 ½" across the top, 3 ½" across the handles x 2 ¼" tall; has small nicks to the top rim (see photo). The 2 pieces together look so odd, that one almost has to do a double take! Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 2 lbs. from 06068. #347 |
