Enjoy scrolling through EAPG (Early American Pattern/Pressed Glass), with various other items in smaller quantity: other vintage glass, pottery, silver, pewter, old coins, collector books, etc. Victorian antique phonographs collected in the 1950-60’s are being added slowly; new, unused, precious and semi-precious gem jewelry, some uniques, are added as time permits; older costume jewelry will be added as it is sorted. See below (About us) for the big picture! I am strictly a collector, not an expert or a dealer. I’m just lucky enough to be able to handle a lot of “stuff.” ;) |

Sometimes it’s hard to tell whether these things are married or they came that way. I believe that this is an original set, since I saw exactly the same combination of stand & bottles twice: at an auction & on ebay in late December 2005! Maker is currently unknown, but by style it would date to the late 19th century. The 3 bottles are D&B (Daisy & Button): 2 shakers with one original (split) lid, & one replacement lid, and 1 cruet with a stopper. Maybe a hint of graying, but otherwise in nice shape. The base is geometric with crosscut diamonds & fans. In the center is a toothpick holder (often erroneously called a candleholder), which obviously also functions as a handle. It has one large chip under the holder, which is hard to see with the bottles in place. Otherwise, the stand is stable & with no other damage. Height overall is 8 7/8". Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with Delivery Confirmation, 5 lbs. from 06068. #382 |
