This cake salver, HS (high standard) cake server, is made with the hot wafer joining technique. Made by Bryce Higbee, c 1899-1905, the pattern is called Rosette and Palms, is not marked (never is according to Higby), and is said to be "fairly rare" in the Higby book (pg. 162). The cake salver is an unlisted item in this book! Measures 9 ¾" wide x 5 ¼" tall. In gorgeous condition (see the photo with the glare which shows no obvious scratches), with only the hint of some wear in the middle part of the plate (about 2" round) where something must have been standing. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 5 lbs. from 06068. #415 |
