Enjoy scrolling through EAPG (Early American Pattern/Pressed Glass), with various other items in smaller quantity: other vintage glass, pottery, silver, pewter, old coins, collector books, etc. Victorian antique phonographs collected in the 1950-60’s are being added slowly; new, unused, precious and semi-precious gem jewelry, some uniques, are added as time permits; older costume jewelry will be added as it is sorted. See below (About us) for the big picture! I am strictly a collector, not an expert or a dealer. I’m just lucky enough to be able to handle a lot of “stuff.” ;) |

This pair of pressed amber, not banded, salt shakers with the original pewter moon & stars lids are in the pattern, Thousand Eye, made by Adams & Co., c 1875-80. Said to be "very scarce" in the non-banded form (Lechner, pg. 24), shakers measure 3" tall with the lids. The lids are in excellent condition; usually these pewter lids are a mess. The salts look good from arm’s length, but there are numerous chips & wear to the points between the eyes (see magnified photos). You really have to check them closely to see the damage, since the color & design hide it quite well! Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 2 lbs. from 06068. #361 |
