Originally made by Northwood in custard, Inverted Fan & Feather, aka no. 607, was later made by Dugan Glass Co., c 1901-08. Beautiful subtle white or bluish-white opalescence, both bowls have 4 feet & are trimmed in gold. One bowl is clear; one is faintly blue-gray (the one on the right)! One has a more distinct edge pattern (blue-gray one); the other is smoother. One glows yellow under UV light (blue-gray one); the other does not. In near-mint condition, with some wear of the gold & old stress lines at the top, only the 2nd bowl has a small nick to a top scallop. Measure: 4 ½" wide x 2 ½" tall. There are more contemporary attempts at reproduction. But I believe that these are original & old, with the characteristic flat end beads as seen in the design of the originals (see photos). Please see my other listing for a larger bowl in the same pattern. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with Delivery Confirmation, 2 lbs. from 06068. #406 |
