Enjoy scrolling through EAPG (Early American Pattern/Pressed Glass), with various other items in smaller quantity: other vintage glass, pottery, silver, pewter, old coins, collector books, etc. Victorian antique phonographs collected in the 1950-60’s are being added slowly; new, unused, precious and semi-precious gem jewelry, some uniques, are added as time permits; older costume jewelry will be added as it is sorted. See below (About us) for the big picture! I am strictly a collector, not an expert or a dealer. I’m just lucky enough to be able to handle a lot of “stuff.” ;) |

Impressive celery vase in the pattern Pillow Encircled, by Model Flint Glass Co., c 1889, later US Glass. Measures 6 1/8" tall x 3 ¾" diameter at the top. No chips or cracks, and near-mint condition. However, when you pick up this vase & look closely at the foot, you will notice 3 slightly irregular linear marks. These are due to the manufacturing process. After the vase was pressed, metal clamps called "snaps" were used to hold the hot vase by its base while the top section was hand-finished. This process replaced the pontil rod. These marks are not considered damage. But they are there, and to my eye, simply reflect the era & method of manufacture! See photos with arrows & judge for yourself. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 3 lbs. from 06068. #433 |
