Bottles Antique/Vintage at Rob's Antiques and Collectibles

JANOS BITTERS BOTTLE DARK GREEN ANTIQUE This beautiful dark green Janos Bitters bottle probably dates to the 1880's-1890's (see lip application). I believe it is from Janos, Mexico and it is from my grandmother's estate.

Bottom is embossed. It stands nine inches tall and the color is so dark it is almost black.

BALL PERFECT MASON QUART CANNING JAR VINTAGE AQUA This quart-size Ball Perfect Mason canning jar is a beautiful aqua color with a few bubbles in the glass. The white glass lid (Crown Mason) has been broken along the edge but the piece is still inside the jar. The zinc screw-on top as well as the small tape provenance that says the jar came from Mogollon New Mexico mine probably dates the jar to the early 1900's. A very nice example from the Ball company.

BALL IDEAL 1/2 QUART CANNING JAR VINTAGE AQUA This small 1/2 quart Ball Ideal canning jar has original wire and glass top and Pat'd July 14 1908 on bottom of jar. Also has Bail Here on side up near wire. Beautiful aqua color, this jar is a perfect specimen of early canning.

FISH BOTTLE Handed down from my grandmother, who was the ultimate bottle collector, is this bottle shaped like a fish, scales and all.

It is clear glass (which has a slight purple color started, and has Pat App, however I cannot read the date.

Probably dates to 1920's or before, but I cannot read the date, so I am not sure.

I believe it was found in New Mexico.
Circa: Early 1900's
Condition: Excellent
Size: 11 inches long
Color: Clear with hint of amethyst coloring

GEORGE WASHINGTON COMMEMORATIVE 1932 This George Washington commemorative flask dates to 1932 as shown on the embossed lettering. Has a picture of George Washinton with 1732 to 1932 on one side and an eagle with ten stars on the opposite side. Has early screw cap.

BOTTLE CATHEDRAL PICKLE This cathedral-style, aqua colored pickle bottle dates from the mid-late 1800's and was a common food bottle from the Civil War era.

This bottle is from a New Mexico estate.

BOTTLE MEDICINE LYRIC This early medicine bottle has an applied lip from about 1890's. There is no label, but does have the dosages embossed on side as well as 'Lyric' on bottom and the number eight in a circle on shoulder.

Was found in Arizona and still has a brown spot on lip.

Nice addtion to bottle collection!

BOTTLE MINIATURE CHINESE OPIUM This small miniature bottle dates to the 1870's-1890's and is a bottle that held opium. There is Chinese writing on the bottom.

The Chinese workers putting in the railroads used opium regularly and a few of these miniature bottles are found in areas where there were railroads as well as mining towns where the Chinese had food establishments and laundromats.
