Ren001

LUNCHEON OF THE BOATING PARTY RENOIR IMPRESSIONISM This is an Art Print made and distributed by Portal Publications, Ltd in 1966 and has been framed in a gold vintage frame with glass. A written description of the work is attached to the back.

The vintage frame (from the 1940's or earlier) may actually be more valuable than the piece of artwork, however it has been repainted.

Pierre Augustus Renoir was a founding member of the movement known as 'Impressionism' in the latter part of the 1800's. 'Luncheon of the Boating Party' was painted in 1880-81 and is a youthful, idealized portrait of his friends and colleagues who frequented the Maison Fournaise where this painting shows them. One of the women in the painting later became his wife. There is slight water damage to the right side.

This is a very nice framed piece of vintage art.

Condition: Slight waterstaining
