DALMATION AND FIRE HYDRANT SALT & PEPPERS S.D.D. This set of salt and pepper shakers are the originals from the 1940's-1960's and are marked on the bottom of each with S.D.D. I have not been able to find out what these initials are for, yet the reproductions do not have them.

I have seen several reproductions of this set with yellow around the eyes and the spots on the head are not quite the same, nor is the lifted leg in the same position.

These are from an AZ estate.

A very nice collectible in many aspects: salt & peppers, firefighting, animals.

SALT & PEPPER SHAKER MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN ONE-PIECE This salt and pepper shaker is one-piece with salt at one end and pepper at other. Size is 3 1/2 inches X 3 inches tall X 1 1/2 inch wide.

Painted in pink roses with gold flowers and gold on handle and around entire shaker including the
S & P on each end.

Is in perfect condition. From an Az estate. Quite unusual.

SALT & PEPPER 5 PC SET APPLES WITH WORM OCCUPIED JAPAN A five piece set of salt and pepper shakers, a sugar bowl(?) and green worm sitting on a green leafy tray. This set comes from an Arizona collection that dates from the 1940's-1960's.

Set includes two red apples (or tomatoes?) for the s&p's, the sugar is red and the worm and tray are green. Size of tray is almost 7 inches long X 2 inches wide. Size of worm (which has been repaired) is about 3 inches long total.

All of the pieces, except the worm, are in excellent condition. Mark on bottom says Made in Occupied Japan with the mark of what looks like Hardnok Ware, although it can't be seen very well and I am guessing that is what it says.

This is a wonderful s&p collectors set from the 1940's timeframe.

PEWTER & GLASS SALT AND PEPPER SHAKER SET VINTAGE This is a beautiful original salt and pepper shaker set from the 1940's-1960's. It is not the reproduction that I have seen currently on the Internet, but comes from an AZ estate collection.

It is made of pewter and glass. The grape bunches are real glass and the vines are pewter. The top part of the vine unscrews from the bottom round section as does the pewter caps on the glass bunches.

It is heavy owing to the real metal. I have not polished the pewter and it has a nice patina. There is no marking that I could find.

This is a beautiful piece and a wonderful collectors item!
