This is a digital reproduction of a drawing done by a field artist during the Civil War (1861-1865). The title of this print is 'New Years Day Contraband Ball at Vicksburg, Miss' and the detail is so great right down to the candle sconces on the wall! This is one of the best drawings of Civil War real-life I have seen.
The piece is reproduced in sepia tone (computer-digitized) to bring out the rich details of the artists sketch. All work is done with archival, acid-free and museum-quality products in order to preserve the piece for future generations.
Print size is 16X20 matted.
I have many other Civil War prints at /stores/rks. Please contact me for something in particular that you may be looking for. |
