This print called 'Musical Entertainment-Baton Rouge, LA under the 41st Massachusetts, 131st NY and the 25th Connecticut volunteers' and features a breakdown, which was danced, or rather jumped with great vigor, by a couple of negro contraband juveniles.
Drawn by a field artist and soldier during the Civil War (1861-1865), the piece is reproduced (computer-digitized) in sepia tones to bring out the rich details of the artists sketch. All is done with archival, acid-free and museum quality products (both paper and ink) in order to preserve the work for future generations. The print comes matted as 16 X 20.
