"This is a beautifully written novel of life on a great Spanish hacienda - a story of men and horses told with restraint and power. There is an incredible hunt in the wilderness of four centuries ago for horses stolen by Indians. There are numerous fine illustrations... truly an artist in two mediums."

Beautifully illustrated in 30 Chinese ink drawings, by the author, whose signature is on the title page.

Here is a story of the best horsemen in New Spain, the Spaniards and Indians.

The book has been kept in a Plasti-Kleer cover so the original paper dust jacket is in Excellent condition and the book pages are in Excellent 'unread' condition.
