This print is from a drawing done by a field artist, and soldier, during the Civil War (1861-1865). It is called 'The Presentation of Colors to the 20th United States Colored Infantry at the Union League Clubhouse NY March 1864' and depicts a large crowd watching the ceremony.
We will reproduce the piece, via computer digitizing, in sepia tone to bring out the rich details of the artists sketch. All work is done with archival, acid-free and museum-quality products, both ink and paper, in order to preserve the work for future generations. The print is 16 X 20 and is matted.
We hope this print brings you many hours of enjoyment and thank you for looking. Please see other Civil War prints that we digitally reproduce at /stores/rks! |
