This early 1900's fly fishing rod was used many times by my grandfather who was constantly on the river. It is 3 pieces, dark brown with yellow and orange rings and comes in a green canvas bag which inserts into a round metal (aluminum?) case with screw top. It has 'Herter's' on the cork end and there is some words in black on the rod of which the only one I can read seems to be 'Waseca'?. The rod (which does not have a reel) is in perfect condition with all of the eyes still solid and no damage to any of it. Please contact me if you need more information.
This rod and the Heddon 'Pal' reel on this site have excellent provenance! |
