This demitasse cup/saucer is rimmed with gold on both saucer and cup as well as the handle (which has been reattached at some point in time).
The pictures are of a man courting a woman, reading to her (saucer) and playing the flute (cup). The style of clothes in paintings are of 18th century design.

'Souvenir of Washington DC' is printed in gold on saucer. Probably from the 1940'-50's. The colors are very bright and there are no chips or cracks except the seam on the handle where it has been reattached.
No markings but a beautiful piece! |
