This print is from a drawing done by a field artist, and soldier, during the Civil War (1861-1865). It is called 'Killings Cave On The Banks of the Potomac, The Place of Refuge of Many Citizens During the Battle of Antietam' and depicts a scene showing how serious this battle was. A great piece for the collector of Civil War artwork as well as cave-related items.
I will reproduce the piece, via computer digitizing, in sepia tone to bring out the rich details of the artists sketch. All work is done with archival, acid-free and museum-quality products, both ink and paper, in order to preserve the work for future generations.
The print is 16 X 20 and is matted.
We hope this print brings you many hours of enjoyment and thank you for looking.
