RUBAIYAT, a collection of rhymes, was originally written by Omar Khayyam of Persia, prior to his death in A.D.1123. In 1859, Edward FitzGerald, of England, published some of the work, but it went virtually unnoticed until 1929 when a copy sold for $8000.
