1929 School Reader The New Path to Reading Book Three
Book Three of this series was written by Anna Dorothea Cordts, Professor of Elementary Education at Iowa State Teachers College.
Illustrations by Marguetite Davis and Elizabeth Tyler Wolcott. Published by Ginn & Company. Boston - New York - Chicago - London - Atlanta - Dallas - Columbus - San Francisco.
The hard bound cloth covered book shows edge & corner wear - with marks & soil on back. Inside has a previous owners names. It has been well used and a small child has had access to it. Several pages have the Os filled in, there are a few other scribbles, page corner bends, a few minor tears, and soil.
It has wonderful illustrations done in black & white - red - and peach. Lots of animal pictures.
Contents include: Mother‘s Birthday, The First Mosquitos, The Tonque Cut Sparrow, Elephants, P. T. Barnum, The Buffalo Family, Malindy’s Cat, Lydia Makes a Barrel of Soap, The Cupboard, The Eskimo, to name a few~~ Very nice contents in this book.
Although well used, it is an excellent Home Schooling Tool or Teacher's Resource Aide, or great addition to a Vintage School Reader Collection.
