1950s Vintage Christmas Nativity Set with Figures Old.
Vintage fold and fasten together Nativity Creche.
Complete with: plastic figures, angel insert, light and wind-up music box type musical movement which plays Silent Night.
Maker may have been Montgomery Ward, Nothing is marked.
Estimated Circa late 1940s to 1950s.
Cardboard folds into a box with drop down front, and background scene of Shepherds and their sheep, gazing at the Star.
Cord light goes through the upper back, looks like a Noma bulb in it. Cord and plug look fine and work.
Angel inset is plastic, as are the figures.
Figures include: Jesus in Manger, Joseph and ,Mary, 2 Wise Men, 1 Shepherd, Cow, Sheep with broken leg, and other rubber sheep, Mule with broken nose.
Condition is used. Cardboard has a few bends and rubs. One tab which holds the background scene in place, has been torn off and taped in place, but holds fine and is on back where it does not show. Overall, great shape for a Nativity that was obviously used and loved for many years. Someone told me it may have had a roof when new.
