Early Noritake Nippon Painted Roses Cabinet Plate
Artist signed Morimura Bros. Noritake porcelain plate hand painted with artfully detailed full bloom roses. Intense deep lavender, purple and blends of grey set upon lush and dark greenery have created a unique color tableau. Three bright rose heads, one in pink, pale lavender and a russet peach makes the whole scene just pop with color. Grey toned purple brush strokes blend to a very pale color wash of lavender. A striking piece of artwork!
Plate, measuring 7.75 inches in diameter, is rated to be in excellent condition. Artist A. Haruno signed on the front. Imported by the Morimura Bros. of New York, displaying their 'M in Laurel Wreath' Handpainted Made in Japan mark.
Circa: 1918
