Antique Maastricht Holland Folk Art Grill Plates
Maastricht earthenware grill plates (a total of three) are decorated in folk art primary colors and primitive spatterware pattern of rust and cobalt flower heads, green leaves detailed with magenta and green tear drop brush strokes set these grill plates apart from the ordinary.
Referred to as Gaudy Dutch, the artwork is set upon a creamy earthenware ground. Grill plates measure 11 inches in diameter and have a 1 inch deep well to retain food juices. Each plate has three partitions. Minimal age related crazing. Three grill plates in the lot are in near excellent condition.
