Established in 1905, the A.E. Hull Pottery Company began making pottery, novelties, stoneware, and kitchenware, including the famous Little Red Riding Hood line. At that time Hull pottery had a matte finish with shades of pink and blue or brown predominating. In the 50's, new modern-style pieces were produced, mostly with a glossy finish. Hull currently produces wares for florists, such as the Regal and Floraline lines.

Covered sugar and double 'saturn ring' handled creamer are in superb condition. In fact, they appear to have never been used. Total height of creamer is 6.25 inches high with a spanse from lip to handle edge of 5.25 inches. The sugar measures 4 inches at the tallest point of the looped handle. Hull produced their Blossom Flight line in 1955 responding to the consumers' desire for everything ultra modern. Estate acquisition in superb condition. Pieces are fully marked. Click for more detail... 0807-04	Hull Matte Blue Calla Lily Two Handled Pillow Vase Original 1938 Hull Calla Lily pillow vase in matte glaze, also called Jack-in-the-Pulpit by some, has that wonderful cornflower blue ground that Hull is known for. The high relief Calla Lily is made the focal point through the use of a halo of cream colored ground. The flowers, leaves and stems have airbrushed hues of blue, green and cream with umber center for a bit of impact. Shape is in a puffed pillow form with two handles. Piece is in exceptional condition on the exterior. Interior and base shows extensive glaze crazing, however no cracks or hairlines. Measures 9.25 inches high with a 9.25 by 5.25 inch deep rim opening. Total width of vase at its widest point is 9.5 inches. Oval base measures 5.25 inches. Flowers are set amongst green shaded leaves and stems with splashes of umber for impact. Shape is detailed with crossover draping effect and applied leaf mold handles. Vase measures 8.5 inches high. Embossed U.S.A. Hull Art H-9-8 1/2" was used circa 1947-1949 and was produced prior to their devastating factory fire which occured in 1950. Excellent condition high sheen glazing.
