Continental Painted Bisque Cherub Matched Pair Spill Vases
So spritely and animated are the facial features of this charming matched pair of painted bisque cherub spill vases. Made of unglazed biscuit porcelain they are charming in their color washed pastels. Each piece measures 4.5 inches long by 3.5 inches wide with a 2.25 inch depth. An unmarked Estate acquisition dated to the early part of the 20th Century by the Estate Trustee and believed to be Italian. They are just two of many fine porcelain pieces that had been boxed and placed in storage for many years before making their way back into the public eye.
The set is rated as Very Good to Excellent with only one minor flaw that we could find and that is from the time of firing. There is one small "crease" in the Bisque located on the back wall of the pocket. It does not extend to the front and does not detract nor harm the integrity of the little angel.
These adorable little ones would grace anyone's home. Small enough to display standing in a cabinet as figurines. Thank you for browsing in Aurora's Attic Treasures.
