Vintage Romania Pebble Chintz Desert Service Multi-pastel colored Romania porcelain dessert service in an overall pebble chintz pattern consisting of tab handled cake or sandwich plate, cream jug, suger bowl and six dessert or tea plates.

Beautiful high sheen glazing is free of crazing or utensil wear. Gilt details are still brilliant and rates this set as near perfect. Cake Plate measures 9 inches in diameter, standard size open sugar, cream jug and one dessert plate are in the same earthly gold hue. Desert plates measure 7 inches in diameter.

The remaining five dessert/tea plate are in a different pastel hue of palest ivory, taupe, yellow, pastel bluish grey, and a soft mauve.

Estate consignment exceptionally well-cared for. Inkstamp mark Made in Romania arch over Vase and Flowers with wheat sheaths on each side. I cannot find a documentation of the mark, however based on Romanian history these were produced prior to 1944 or after 1989. Romanian porcelain and pottery production is centered around the Transylvania region.
