Northwood 1908 Simple Simon White Opalescent Bowl
Antique Northwood white opalescent glass bowl. The pattern name might be Simple Simon, but believe me, there is nothing simple about this elegant footed candy dish. Lovely white opalescent treatment on clear pressed glass with a pattern of fine ribbing and wide link on paneled glass. The opalescent rim softly details a shell and scallop, pulled upwards three times. Three feet of fine ribbing swirl to a scroll foot pad. A striking focal point was created in the center of the bowl when the mold incorporated a geometric sunburst at the point the feet supports the bowl. No wonder they refer to it as elegant glass.
Bowl measures 6.5 inches by 2.75 inches high and is rated to be in very good condition with no chips, cracks or flaking. A nice example of Victorian transition into Edwardian style.

Early Northwood Shell & Wild Rose Bowl
Northwood's 1906 Shell and Wild Rose pressed white opalescent glass pattern tri-footed candy dish.
This antique beauty does have a flaw however, there is a good size chip that has been polished smooth on the collared base rim and unfortunately it does show a distortion in the glass when looking into the bottom of the bowl. Other than this, it is in wonderful condition with clear glass and shimmery opalescence.
Bowl measures 7.25 inches in diameter, sits on three scroll tabbed feet and is priced accordingly.
