Lindner Kueps Bavaria Cobalt & Gilt Frankfurt TeacupTrio
Lindner quality display porcelain pieces are rich in deep cobalt blue, accented with deeply burnished and lustrous heavy gold detailing likened to the Limoges cobalt miniatures.
This set includes a 2.5 inch high teacup with 3 7/8 inch wide cup well and ornate 'S' handle. Saucer measures 5.75 inches and Tea Plate, 7.5 inches in diameter. Cup and Tea Plate bear the Frankfurt Coat of Arms.
All pieces are adorned with a heavy burnished painted gold rim, teacup also has gilding on handle and foot. A fine gold line borders the inner wells of the plates. Embossed elegant scroll mold details the rims of plates and teacup foot.
Condition is rated near excellent. Near, only because it has been previously owned and a slight patina has formed on the gold on the interior bottom of the teacup well. Inkmarked in gold, teacup bears the Lindner Kueps Bavaria trademark, Echt Cobalt, (pattern)157, 4. Saucer bears the green Lindner trademark, 77/4; Teaplate has 77/19. Both have the pattern number 157 and Echt Cobalt printed in gold.
