Transfer Painted Fragonard Porcelain Vanity Jar with Lid Reproduction, in the style of KPM, porcelain transfer painted portrait art deco shaped jar with flat-domed lid. Brilliant painted gold fret-work lattice and rose bud bouquets pattern decorate the lid. White ground is gradient shaded in blue.

Jar is overall painted in blush shades of blue and pink, rose head garlands and water drops motif. Central transfer medallions based on Fragonard 'Romantic Couple in Garden' scenes, front and back, framed in beaded gold. Heavy high relief gold scroll trellis and bead accents. Matches a bulbous shaped scent decanter we are currently listing.

Measures 6 inches tall by 3.5 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep. Very good to near excellent condition with gold 99% intact and transfer-painting still crisp and vivid in colors. Mark is a fake replica of the early KPM Eagle with Sceptor mark. Probably manufactured in China, however is a very nice replica at a fraction of the cost of the real thing.
