Vintage Schildkraut Micro Floral Petit Point Powder Compact
Rectangular Schildkraut brilliant brass finish compact with exterior micro stitched vibrant colored floral Petit Point motif. The interior maintains it's original Schildkraut label and its patent pending registration. Micro stitches are all hand done and in very fine condition. Petit Point is satin backed and mounted in a gold tone case.
Measuring a generous 3.5 inches long by 2.5 inches wide, with upper comparment housing beveled edge mirror, powder puff and pan. Push latch opens pan to the bottom compartment for loose powder. The back has a hidden compartment for the touch-up comb. Although original powder is long gone, this compact is in exceptionally good condition for its age and bears evidence of minimal use. Gold foil with black print 'Genuine Hand Made Petitpoint by Schildkraut, 1850 stitches to the square inch'. Top compartment frame has incised 'Patent 1802796 Made in U.S.A.'

Cameo Solid Perfume Locket & Brooch - Resin Molded
Delightful solid perfume Brooch and Pendant combination using resin molded cameo female subject in high relief with creamy ivory colored bust on a ground of rust shading to a pale yellow which highlights the shoulder area. Cameo is mounted on a brilliant gold-tone metal locket/brooch combination within a rolled rim oval framework.
Pieces is hinged - opens and closes nicely. Interior has a brushed and satinized look. No trace of original perfume. Back is nicely scribed with a fine fabric weave brushed pattern and a center oval medallion of polished brilliance. Single pin brooch attachment and an embossed arch bale, which can by hidden by sliding it back into the compact compartment when wearing as a brooch.
Without markings or label, however, it does have the look and quality of Mary Chess. Rated to be in near excellent condition. Circa 1950.
