Victorian Gold Overlay Lace Floral Bride's Bowl
Blown Victorian deep ruffle bride's (or console) bowl of white clear glass with overall Woodland Rose and Leaf motif incorporating layers of heavy gold and the wax resist process. Leaf pattern of solid and open centers gives the pattern a lacy effect. Flower centers are stippled with gold. Polished chisel edge bowl rim.
Bowl measures 11 inches wide with a 3.5 inch outward flare, base measures 5 inches in diameter. Rated to be in near excellent condition with minor gold wear or loss. Unmarked piece.
