Reproduction Limoges Gilt & Painted Rose Tankard, Vase
Faux Limoges mark transfer painted lush red/fuscia tinged petal roses and greenery on dense semi-porcelain tankards or a nice alternative as a vase, accented with brilliant heavy gold.
Measuring 5.5 inches high with a 4.5 inch diameter base and 3.5 inch diameter gilt trimmed top. Ornate Embossed applied and and gild handle. Winter white ground is washed with color tints and serves as background for the floral motif.
I believe these were originally part of, for lack of a better term due to their large size, a hot chocolate set. However, one would make a cheery vase or violet pot for madame's vanity or boudoir or fit into your Paris, Shabby Chic decor'. Limoges mark is not authentic. Condition is near perfect.

Paris Chic Faux Limoges Gilt & Painted Rose Tumbler, Vase
Faux mark Limoges semi-porcelain vanity vase or tumbler. Transfer painted floral motif on winter white earthenware ground that is color washed in soft to deep pastel tints.
Each piece measures 6.5 inches high with gilt gentle waved rim. 2.5 inch diameter squat pedestal foot with gold accents. 3 1/8 inch diameter at widest part of the vase well. Condition is near perfect with each bearing an unauthentic Limoges and Banner mark. Perfect for that cottage or shabby chic decor' and for use without fear of damaging a costly and fragile antique.
Listed to sell individually, however the purchase of the entire lot is not without consideration.
