LDP1
Lustered Hand Painted Dogwood Display Plate Superb painted white Dogwood set amongst petite clusters of pink spring flowers and muti-colored greenery are the focal point to Made in Germany plate. The mold is beautifully shaped with a softly scalloped and trumpet embossed rim, detailed in a soft burnished gold trim. The shape is full of old world charm and is in the style of R S Germany - 1910 - 1916.

But it doesn't stop there! The rim has a most unique motif of what best could be described as silkscreened budding dogwood flowers set upon and highlighted with a subtle oil slick luster of greyish blue, lavendar and the palest tinge of pink. This same iridescent grey-blue paint was used to paint the tiny pin dot details of bud's interior. I've never seen anything like it on porcelain. It is much more subtle than a lustering.

It does however carry one flaw. There is a tight hairline which extends the full length of the rim, approximately 1.25 inches. (Shown at top of the first photo). Placing it on a display stand will cover it nicely.

Measures 7.5 inches in diameter, rated to be in very good condition with the one flaw mentioned and minor (less than 20%) gold wear. Backstamp "Made in Germany" and artist's hash mark in gold.

Thank you for your visit to Aurora's Attic Treasures

0508-19
Vintage Hall Rose Parade Cadet Blue Water Pitcher Nostalgic Hall Superior Kitchen Tested 8 inch Rose Parade pinched spout water jug in Cadet Blue.

Contrasting Hi-White handle with the original single bloom Rose Parade transfer pattern. Structurally it is rated to be in excellent condition, however there is a section under the rim (indicated in photo) where the base cream color has bled through during manufacturing. I would not classify it as a glaze slip. Bleeds nicely and is not stark in contrast, however we have priced accordingly to reflect this manufacturer's flaw.
