Early Noritake Nippon Painted Roses Cabinet Plate Artist signed Morimura Bros. Noritake porcelain plate hand painted with artfully detailed full bloom roses. Intense deep lavender, purple and blends of grey set upon lush and dark greenery have created a unique color tableau. Three bright rose heads, one in pink, pale lavender and a russet peach makes the whole scene just pop with color. Grey toned purple brush strokes blend to a very pale color wash of lavender. A striking piece of artwork!

Plate, measuring 7.75 inches in diameter, is rated to be in excellent condition. Artist A. Haruno signed on the front. Imported by the Morimura Bros. of New York, displaying their 'M in Laurel Wreath' Handpainted Made in Japan mark.

Noritake Morimura Bros. Balsiger Apple Blossom Plate Artist painted early Noritake porcelain plate decorated with stylized Apple Blossoms and branch work on a color washed background of Peach and Yellow on Blue and Teal. The plate is further accented with a wide rim of burnished gold paint.

Signed by Balsiger, it measures 10 inches in diameter and would display beautifully on your table or wall.

Condition is rated as excellent. Morimura Bros. 'M in Laurel Wreath, Handpainted, Nippon' back stamp confirms date of porcelain production between 1904 and 1911. Van Patten Mark #47.

Japan Cottage by Lake & Swan Lustered Rolled Rim Bowl Beautifully executed red mark Japan hand painted luster rolled rim bowl artistically hand painted with a Cottage by the Lake pattern with swan, possibly unmarked Morimura Bros. piece. Blue iridescent luster painted rim with peach luster interior.

Bowl is cylindrical in shape with a wide rolled rim measuring 7.5 inches in diameter with a 2.25 inch rise. Passes the ping test and rings true confirming no hidden cracks or hairlines.

Painting and colors are in excellent condition. Ink marked Made in Japan dates production between 1910 - 1925, the use of Luster iridescence narrows it to the 1920's.

Vintage Japan Majolica Oak & Acorn Covered Box Early Japan Majolica porcelain covered box in subdued earthtone colors of golden oak, brown umbers with a splash of muted celadon green. Superb naturalistic Oak Leaf, Acorn and Bark molding is exhibited in this covered box produced in Japan during the first quarter of the 20th Century.

Container measures 9.5 long by 5 inches wide by 2.5 inch. High sheen tin glazing over wide brush stroke painting, with the entire piece consisting of box and lid rated to be in very good condition, with minor age rubbing, as to be expected, on the bottom unglazed pads of the 'cut branches' serving as feet and inner rims of the box and lid where they meet when closed. There is also a small eraser size chip to the inner box rim, unseen with the cover on and minor fine crazing on the interior bottom of the box. Red mark of Nippon Yoko Boeki Co.; wreath with bow and clover underneath, production circa 1924.

Antique Noritake Maple Leaf Floral Painted Gilt Bowl Ornate Morimura Bros. Noritake blown out rose floral bowl accented with heavy gilt and beaded rim. Embossed bowl has an all over painted interior of magenta and blush tipped roses, foliate and buds on a color washed ground in shades of golden yellow and light to mid-color greens. The scallop and leaf rim is painted in deep burnished gold and bead accented.

The florals extend onto the exterior of the bowl. Pattern is underglaze. Bowl measures 7.25 inches in diameter and sits on a gold trimmed collared foot. Blue Maple Leaf Hand Painted #52 mark. Used 1891 - 1921. Condition is rated as near excellent.

Early Noritake Nippon Morimura Acorn & Swallow Bowl Early Noritake Nippon Morimura Bros. 'M' in Laurel Wreath hand painted bowl, rich in warm golden russet brown hues this has an Autumnal scene of Oak Leaf, Acorn and blue tinged Swallow on branch broad brush stroke motif.

All over gradient shades of deep russet orange and deep to golden browns on the interior, extending over the outer rim. Pierced tab handles. Rim is painted in a deep russet brown.

Condition is rated as very good to near excellent. There is one very small paint flake on the upper interior under the tab rim. Decorative display bowl measures 7 inches in diameter. Bears the green Noritake 'M' in Laurel Wreath Hand Painted Made in Japan mark. Used 1911+.

Morimura Nippon Noritake Autumn Thistle 6 Piece Berry Set Autumn motif Nippon Noritake master relish with individual salts (or condiment) bowls.
Hand painted scene of Thistle, foliate and branching in colors of shaded greens, rust accenting, deep brown branching, leaves of various depths of green and accent shadow leaves of a bluish lavendar with satin finish.

Master measures 7 inches by 5 7/8 inches. Modified geometric square with rounded half dome rim detail. Collared foot and rim detailed in painted Umber trim. Salts measure 3 inches in diameter.

Set is in fine condition with no flaws and only the expected base rubbing. Paint is in excellent condition with extremely minimal wear on the rims. Green M in Laurel Wreath, Hand Painted, Nippon mark #47, circa 1911. Research references: Collectors Encyclopedia of Early Noritake, A.N. Alden and Collecting Noritake A-Z, Spain.

Meiji Period Dai Nippon Bluebird Enameled Luster Relish Set Axx Dai Nippon (Great Japan) Meiji Period enameled Bluebird floral motif on richly irridescent luster finish relish service. High luster pastel colors of peachy marigold and contrasting cornflower blue border with a vivid colored enameled motif of stylized bluebird, florals and foliate.

Measurements: 8 inch long master relish, five (5) individual condiments or salts at 3.16 inches long. All are in very good condition with only age related rub wear to the bottoms. Inkstamp trademark of Mt. Fugi and Stream used during the Meiji Period of 1868 - 1912 and Made In Japan, along with the dual color luster design narrows production to 1900 - 1912.

Satsuma Gilt Moriage & Painted Matched Mantle Urns Japanese double handled matched mantle urns with lavish gilt motif of beaded scroll and heavy enameled jewels decorating finely crazed Satsuma porcelain. Central focal point of rich colored open petal stylized flowers. Gilt designs of scroll, garland and fine trellising are accented with gold beading and green enamel jewels. Fine gold moriage frames a center of a yellow washed ground. The back of the urns are decorated with a single flower bud and framed in gold beading. Ornate pierced handles are also accented in brilliant gold.

Matched urns measure 10 inches high with a width of 6 inches from handle to handle and are rated very good with the following noted: Both urns are without chips or cracks or paint loss. Expected age related rubbing on both under-bases. Over 50% solid gold loss to one Urn's upper rim border and one handle; both bases exhibit wear to the thin gold line accents.

Both pieces bear a green oval Made in Japan inkstamp, 1910 - 1925.
