Art Deco Made in Japan Rising Phoenix Teacup and Saucer Fantastic Art Deco Rising Phoenix teacup and saucer in rich deep orange and glossy black enamel on eggshell thin porcelain.

The set is rated to be in very good to near excellent condition with no defects noted. Minor rub wear on under-base of saucer. Paint is deep in hue and sheen. Inkstamp mark Made in Japan, circa 1930.

Early Noritake Nippon Painted Roses Cabinet Plate Artist signed Morimura Bros. antique Noritake (Nippon) porcelain plate is hand painted artfully detailing full bloom roses. Intense deep lavender, purple and blends of grey set upon lush and dark greenery have created a unique color tableau. Three bright rose heads, one in pink, pale lavender and a russet peach makes the whole scene just pop with color. Grey toned purple brush strokes blend to a very pale color wash of lavender. A striking piece of artwork!

Plate, measuring 7.75 inches in diameter, is rated to be in excellent condition. Artist A. Haruno signed on the front. Imported by the Morimura Bros. of New York, displaying their 'M in Laurel Wreath' Handpainted Made in Japan mark. Blank produced circa 1918. Unknown painting date.

Noritake Morimura Bros. Balsiger Apple Blossom Plate Artist painted early Noritake porcelain plate decorated with stylized Apple Blossoms and branch work on a color washed background of Peach and Yellow on Blue and Teal. The plate is further accented with a wide rim of burnished gold paint.

Signed by Balsiger, it measures 10 inches in diameter and would display beautifully on your table or wall.

Condition is rated as excellent. Morimura Bros. 'M in Laurel Wreath, Handpainted, Nippon' back stamp confirms date of porcelain production between 1904 and 1911. Van Patten Mark #47. Unknown painting date.

Lavish Antique Nippon Kutani Gilt Enameled Berry Bowl Set Dai Nippon Kutani antique berry service consisting of master and six individual berry bowls. Decorated in the lavish Shimizu Bizon technique incorporating colored enamels and gold on gold. Hand painted design of white Calla Lilies, multi-hued tinged roses of pink, fuscia and magenta cloaked in greenery.

The elaborate gilt work of embossed and gold on gold leaf with scrollwork surrounds, frames and overlaps the colored florals and rims. Beautiful gold on gold beading highlights the overall motif. Each snow white bowl has a center medallion of painted rose framed in beaded gold leaves. The exteriors have three hand painted double rose and leaf clusters.

The entire set is rated to be in near excellent condition with only minor rub wear to the inner base rims. The paint, gold and overall pattern is to die for - such extravagance!<p>Master bowl measures 10 inches with (6) individual service bowls measuring 5.75 inches in diameter. Gold on red Japanese mark for Kutani, Bizon Shunkoen Kiln, Dai Nippon Meiji Period, 1868 - 1920. Bizon character narrows production to 1900 - 1920.

Antique Nippon E-OH Brush Painted Berry Service Set Nippon Berry Service set consisting of handpainted Master and 4 individual Berry Bowls crafted by E-OH Nippon. Beautifully done in the Moriage style with bead and slip paint for depth and texture, broad brush strokes in colors of sage green, umber, rose and blue creating the overall landscape and floral pattern.

Mold motif of embossed fine ribbing and pinch scallop rim. Master Berry measures 8.5 inches in diameter with four (4) individual berry bowls measuring 5.25 inches. All pieces are in tip-top condition, both in paint and structure. Green TE OH and painted Nippon backstamp, circa 1900.

Please note: Photo flash gives the appearance of a winter white ground. In natural light, the true color is an ivory with a slight greenish tint creating a more muted contrast to the landscape pattern.

Red Mark Japan Cottage by Lake,Swan Lustered Rolled Rim Bowl After Morimura, beautifully executed red mark Japan hand painted luster rolled rim bowl artistically hand painted with a Cottage by the Lake pattern with swan, possibly unmarked Morimura Bros. piece. Blue iridescent luster painted rim with peach luster interior.

Bowl is cylindrical in shape with a wide rolled rim measuring 7.5 inches in diameter with a 2.25 inch rise. Passes the ping test and rings true confirming no hidden cracks or hairlines.

Painting and colors are in excellent condition. Ink marked Made in Japan dates production between 1910 - 1925, the use of Luster iridescence narrows it to the 1920's.

Vintage Japan Majolica Oak & Acorn Covered Box Early Japan mark Majolica porcelain covered box in subdued earthtone colors of golden oak, brown umbers with a splash of muted celadon green. Superb naturalistic Oak Leaf, Acorn and Bark molding is exhibited in this covered box produced in Japan during the first quarter of the 20th Century.

Container measures 9.5 long by 5 inches wide by 2.5 inch. High sheen tin glazing over wide brush stroke painting, with the entire piece consisting of box and lid rated to be in very good condition, with minor age rubbing, as to be expected, on the bottom unglazed pads of the 'cut branches' serving as feet and inner rims of the box and lid where they meet when closed. There is also a small eraser size chip to the inner box rim, unseen with the cover on and minor fine crazing on the interior bottom of the box. Red mark of Nippon Yoko Boeki Co.; wreath with bow and clover underneath, production circa 1924.

Kutani Blue & White Boat Shaped Console Bowl Gloss glazed finish Kutani blue and white centerpiece bowl or planter is grand in size and highly detailed. Modeled in the form of a boat with pierced rail, embossed tassel at the bow and high relief anchor at the stern. The high relief wave motif are accented with blue border and fish.

Unmarked, however, attributed to a Kutani kiln with an estimated manufacture date of 1925 - 1935. Condition is exceptionally good with minor rub wear on base. Measures 14.5 inches x 6.5 inches x 5.5 inches high. This would make a decorative figural addition to a Blue & White or Asian decor.

Kutani Early Showa Two Geisha Famille Rose Hair Receiver Early Showa Period Kutani Japan hair receiver decorated with iron red and greens, two Geisha in garden and Famille Rose panels. Open hole hair receiver lid has a tight pie-crust pinched ruffled rim.

Both bowl and cover are in very good condition, measuring 4.25 inches by 2.75 inches high. Estate item with gold script on iron red mark of Kutani, Early Showa Period, 1926 - 1936.

Early Noritake Nippon Morimura Acorn & Swallow Bowl Early Noritake Nippon Morimura Bros. 'M' in Laurel Wreath hand painted bowl, rich in warm golden russet brown hues this has an Autumnal scene of Oak Leaf, Acorn and blue tinged Swallow on branch broad brush stroke motif.

All over gradient shades of deep russet orange and deep to golden browns on the interior, extending over the outer rim. Pierced tab handles. Rim is painted in a deep russet brown.

Condition is rated as very good to near excellent. There is one very small paint flake on the upper interior under the tab rim. Decorative display bowl measures 7 inches in diameter. Bears the green Noritake 'M' in Laurel Wreath Hand Painted Made in Japan mark. Used 1911+.
