This great necklace must have come out of the 70s. Apparently handmade, it has a large solid dyed plastic heart that has the compositional feel and look of early Bakelite when looked at under the loop, but it has not passed any of the tests. However, I believe it is likely that it is one of the "sister" plastics of the era, as it is totally unlike the modern plastics in weight and composition. The heart has a slightly visible mold line around the perimeter. The disks and beads are of a different material, but smoother in nature than the heart and hold no mold lines except for the one nearest the heart. All pieces have been strung on a white "macramed" cord.
