Josef Originals were designed by Muriel Josef George and made in California from 1945 to 1962 when the factory moved to Japan. Muriel continued designing and making Josefs until 1982. Josefs were the "Top of the Line" in their era because of the wonderful hand painted detailing, as well as their signature raised pink roses, black eyes, and of course lots of gold trim. Their life like faces truly set them apart and they are as beautiful and popular today as ever! Please note the values have significantly increased since the price guides referrenced were printed.
