Vintage Roosters and Roses~ Small Basket
"Early Provincial Roosters and Roses" is a wonderful hand painted Italian Provincial design made exclusively for and manufactured by "UCAGCO" circa 1950's. These delightful pieces were very popular then and still are today. In fact these were my first collectibles and I still love them. So bright and colorful they just make you happy and still look good in your kitchen today. The collection which includes many many different pieces from Tea Sets to full Dinner Service is pictured in the book "PY/Miyao Fun Kitchen Collectibles by Belinda Evans" on pages 48-73. These pieces can be marked "Early Provincial Underglazed Hand Painted Japan" or simply PY. The PY pieces are from the second set of molds made because the originals were wearing out. Some have the Blue & Silver "Early Provincial" stickers and others have Red & Gold or Red & Silver "UCAGCO Ceramics Japan" stickers. **They are all becoming Very Hard to Find and some are quite Rare. Price guide referrenced has not been updated to reflect today's values and pieces are worth significantly more.

Wonderful vintage original Early Provincial "Roosters and Roses" hand painted pattern made by UCAGCO circa 1950's. The collection is pictured in the book "PY/Miyao Fun Kitchen Collectibles by Belinda Evans" on pages 48-73. *This is the "Large Condiment Jar" ~Valued at $50. ~The plate is 6 inches across and the jar is 5 inces tall. ~Excellent condition with no chips cracks crazing or repairs. ~Marked on bottom "UCAGCO CHINA MADE IN JAPAN" and has the Ucagco symbol. ~Colors are still bright and beautiful. ~Marked on bottom "Early Provincial Underglaze Hand Painted Japan" These are highly collectible and becoming very Hard to Find. Vintage Roosters and Roses~Heart Shaped Planter
Wonderful vintage original Early Provincial "Roosters and Roses" or a look alike. Still hand painted circa 1950's but it is not marked so the maker is unknown. There were several companies that made similar items and this one is lovely. *This is the "Heart Shaped Planter" *Rare* Valued at $25. The planter is 5.5 inches tall. Has a lovely basket of hand painted flowers on the front. ~Excellent condition with no chips cracks or repairs. It does have slight age crazing and discoloration inside the planter pocket. (These were really used in their day) ~The colors are still bright and beautiful. These are highly collectible and becoming very Hard to Find. Please see all pictures and check out my other goodies. They do have slight age crazing and discoloration as they were actually used in their day. ~Unmarked because there is no bottom. ~Colors are still bright and beautiful. I am not sure the top is original though it looks old it could be a replacement. Just wanted to mention it for accuracy. ~There is a partial sticker on the bottom but I can't make it out. ~Colors are still bright and beautiful.
