Made by Muriel Josef George and pictured in the Josef Originals book "Charming Figurines" on pages 43-45. Valued at $$40 each. All are hand painted and have black eyes and gold trim. This is the cute little Birthday Girl #6. She is so cute holding her Birthday cake. She stands 4 inches tall and is incised on the bottom "Josef Originals" in script & has the © indicating she is Vintage & made in California. She also has her original black & gold JO and Japan stickers. Hang tag says "A Josef Original" on the front and "The Sixth Year" on the back. Poem inside reads:
I had a party with presents and cake,
With candles to blow and wishes to make,
Last years buttons have been moved twice,
I think that SIX is very nice.
