A wonderful and very popular series with each girl representing their country. 18 were made originally by Muriel Josef George in 1959. 11 more were added over the years including 2 Hawaii's and 2 Ireland's. Pictured in the JO book Charming Figurines (Book #1) on pages 35-40 & valued at $65 though some are rare and worth double or even triple that. **This is "Greece" She has black eyes and is dressed in her native attire. The hand painted detailing including gold trim as well as the life like faces Josef is famous for make these little ones irresistible. She is 3.5 inches tall. Excellent condition with no chips cracks or repairs. She has her original black & gold "Josef Originals" sticker (a partial). Also stamped inside a paint pallet shape on the bottom "Josef Originals ©"
